报告题目:Inventory routing of industrial gases with stochastic demand

报告摘要:This paper proposes a model to solve the inventory routing problem for industrial gases with stochastic demand. A tanker distributes gases from a depot on a route to several dispersed customers. The demand of each customer is described by a Brownian motion. The model determines the optimal quantity required to refill each customer by trading on the cost associated with earliness, which increases the number of visits per year, with that of lateness, which increases the probability of stock out. Overall, the model minimizes the total system cost, and helps to find the optimal tanker capacity for a given route. Numerical examples and sensitivity analyses are given to illustrate the proposed model.

报告人简介:默罕默德·瓦哈布·默罕默德·伊斯梅尔,加拿大安大略省多伦多瑞尔森大学工业工程系教授,机械与工业工程系副主任。他的研究兴趣是运筹学与金融学的交叉。他积极研究供应链管理、服务管理、制造系统等领域。他发表了60多篇期刊、会议论文和书籍章节。他在1995年获得斯里兰卡莫拉图瓦大学机械工程专业学士学位;在1999年获泰国曼谷亚洲理工学院工业工程硕士学位;在2006年获加拿大多伦多大学工业工程博士学位。瓦哈布博士也是加拿大安大略省的注册专业工程师。
