Materials donated by enterprises in cooperation, alumni and faculty of the Businesses School to help the school fight the epidemic

Since March, USST was obliged to lock down and operate in a closed-loop management mode due to the unexpected COVID-19 epidemic. After learning that the university was in short, the enterprises in cooperation with the university, alumni and staff of USST-BS have extended a helping hand. They assisted the school in preparing anti-epidemic materials, working side-by-side with the school to overcome difficulties and win the battle with epidemic.

 

Shanghai Manheng Digital Technology Co. Ltd., the best partner of the school, contacted the school immediately after learning the difficulties of the school and the university. On the evening of April 11, Hou Yuyu, an executive of Manheng, led the team to deliver 300 marching beds. In the later days Manheng donated masks, disinfectants, protective uniform and other materials in batches. Manheng is a long-time partner ofUSST-BS. Now it provides assistance at the critical moment, demonstrating. the high social responsibility and dedication as an enterprise.

 

Learning of the shortage of epidemic prevention materials in the university and communicating with the head teacher Pan Shuping about the most urgent needs, the alumni of Year 93 majoring in System Engineering actively donated money and materials under the organization of the monitor Guan Yasong. Alumna Chen Meiwen assisted in finding the supply and organizing the delivery. The majority of alumni and alumni enterprise (Li Zhuo) Shanghai Jiaming Machinery Co. Ltd. donated a total of 200 beds and 200 sets of three-piece bedding. At the critical moment, they stepped forward, acted quickly and delivered the stuff within 24 hours, expressed their concern and support for the university and solved the urgent needs of the university.

 

Dr. Meng Chenli, a doctoral graduate of the year 2020 from Management Science and Engineering, has maintained close contact with the university and cared about the development of both the university and the school after graduation. In the campaign to prevent and control the epidemic, she actively contacted enterprises and appeal to the alumni. Through her work, Huzhou Nordun Biotechnology Co. Ltd. donated 1200 N95 masks to the school to help her alma mater fight the epidemic.

The faculty and staff of the school were deeply concerned about the tough situation of epidemic. In order to ensure the sufficient supply to the school teachers, Party Secretary Wang Wei, stood up in the frontier fighting epidemic, contacted various channels to raise materials for the teachers who are working hard right at the school. All the teachers of the Department of Transportation System Engineering donated bread, beverages, instant noodles and other living materials to the teachers working on campus.  More expressive, Dr. Zhou Yiwei bought bread, cake, milk and other food for them. Although teachers were unable to enter their office on campus, they always care about the university, school and colleagues who were still at the school. Their good deeds reflect the power and determination of USST-BS to overcome difficulties and beat the epidemic.

 

In the critical period of preventing and controlling epidemic, school partners, alumni and staff have provided strong material and spiritual support to the university. They have illustrated the spirit of selfless dedication and solidarity with their actions. We will work together to build a solid barrier and win the battle over epidemic.
