During the period of COVID-19 epidemic in Shanghai, not only were the volunteers consisting teachers and students of USST-BS active in the frontier of fighting epidemic, but also our alumni actively participated in epidemic prevention and control and have contributed a lot. Yan Rui, an MPA alumna of 2016, lived in a community where there are a large number of elderly people. In order to help those elderlies who lack materials and cannot buy via online group-order, as the person in charge of the project, she worked with volunteers to come up with an efficient way to help the elderly. Volunteers paired up with the elderly living alone to form a temporary family, regularly attended to the needs of the elderly. Therefore, the elderlies named the volunteers angel's little cotton padded jackets.
