On the afternoon of March 26, 2026, a delegation from Unitree Robotics visited the Business School of University of Shanghai for Science and Technology (USST) for cooperation and exchange. The visiting delegation included Kang Zhihua and Huang Jinfei, Heads of Shanghai Education at Unitree Robotics, along with Wang Peng and Yang Lingyi, partners from Ruiyu Capital. Fang Zhiming, Vice Dean of the Business School, Liu Yong, Deputy Director of the Department of Artificial Intelligence, core faculty members Liu Chen and Liu Lei, and Li Jiming, Director of the Laboratory Center, attended the meeting.
On behalf of the Business School, Vice Dean Fang Zhiming extended a warm welcome to the Unitree Robotics delegation and introduced the Business School’s development overview, academic characteristics, talent cultivation, and industry-university-research cooperation. He stated that the Business School, grounded in the university’s development orientation of “serving science and educating for industry”, is actively exploring new models for cultivating artificial intelligence talent geared towards industrial needs. Currently, the School has established a solid foundation in fields such as large model algorithms and is further expanding its talent cultivation layout towards embodied intelligence. He expressed the hope to take this exchange as an opportunity to deepen university-enterprise cooperation, promote the effective integration of the education, talent, innovation, and industrial chains, and achieve resource sharing, complementary advantages, and coordinated development.
Representatives from Unitree Robotics introduced the company’s development history, core technologies, industrial layout, and latest progress in the field of embodied intelligence. As a key enterprise in China’s embodied intelligence and robotics sector, Unitree Robotics has formed strong technological advantages and innovation capabilities in robot research and development, scenario application, and industrial expansion. The corporate representatives expressed their expectation to carry out more in-depth cooperation with the Business School in talent cultivation, scientific research collaboration, and platform construction, jointly exploring new paths for embodied intelligence to empower education, teaching, and industrial innovation.

Exchange and Discussion
During the exchange session, the two sides engaged in in-depth discussions on topics including embodied intelligence, the construction of a joint robotics laboratory, and the establishment of student internship and practice bases. The attendees agreed that embodied intelligence, as a significant direction for AI development, is continuously expanding the boundaries of technological application and bringing new opportunities for talent cultivation, scientific research, and achievement transformation in universities. Relying on their respective advantages, both parties plan to strengthen coordination in scientific research breakthroughs, project cooperation, practical teaching, and innovation and entrepreneurship, promoting the effective implementation of more cooperative initiatives.
