On August 31, the fifth Al-Farabi Kazakh National University study program opened at the Executive Development Programs(EDP) Center of the Business School. Attending the opening ceremony were Liu Weiwei, Vice Dean of the Business School; Ge Yuhui, Executive Deputy Director of the EDP Center; and Xie Wei, Director of the Internationalization Office at the Business School. The ceremony was hosted by Zhang Baoming, Director of the General Office of the EDP Center.
At the opening ceremony, Liu Weiwei first extended a warm welcome to the participants from Al-Farabi Kazakh National University. He reviewed the positive achievements of the previous four sessions of the program in promoting China-Kazakhstan educational exchanges and broadening participants' international perspectives. He said that the cooperation between the two universities is not only an important step in serving the Belt and Road Initiative and enhancing China-Kazakhstan friendship, but also reflects the shared goal of both institutions in cultivating globally minded talent.

Afterwards, Ge Yuhui introduced the specific arrangement of this study tour in detail. This two-week study tour continues the classroom teaching + practical visit model. The curriculum covers multiple fields including emergency management, effective incentive skills for high-performance teams, reshaping and improving leadership in the digital age, artificial intelligence, supply chain management, e-commerce, talent cultivation, etc. Participants will also visit a number of representative institutions and enterprises: Haizol, SenseTime, JA Solar , Shanghai Cell Therapy Group Co., Ltd., Shanghai Stock Exchange, Shanghai Museum East, Hongqiao International Low‑Altitude Economy Industrial Park, and Shanghai Graphic Digital Information Co., Ltd. Through immersive and interactive learning, the program helps participants improve professional competence and cross-cultural management capabilities.
