Preparing for AACSB accreditation

Prof. Rakesh D. Raut is an Associate professor of Operations and Supply Chain management at the National Institute of Industrial Engineering (NITIE) in Mumbai, India. Professor Raut not only has remarkable academic achievements, but also has rich experience in AACSB accreditation.

In 2020, Professor Raut was selected into Stanford University's new list of the world's top 2% scientists based on standardized citation indicators. His research focuses on sustainable operations management practices and barriers to adopting sustainable practices in the manufacturing and agricultural sectors. He has published over 70 high-impact publications to better understand the disruption caused by the exponential growth in advanced technology and the enabling technologies such as Big-Data Analytics and Industry 4.0 has put the agricultural food supply chain and manufacturing supply chains under internal and external competitive pressure to make their competitive supply chain processes (trust, operational human behavior, safe, transparent and traceable)

Professor Raut holds various positions in national and international education departments and accreditation bodies, including the government of India, the National Institutional Ranking Framework(NIRF)Ministry of education and AACSB. He is very familiar with the rules and processes of AACSB accreditation. Through this exchange, Prof. Raut will share his experience in participating in AACSB accreditation during working in NIRF and guide the accreditation work of our business school.
