From December 6 to 7, Prof. Ding Xiaodong, Convener of the Disciplinary Review Panel on Systems Science under the Academic Degrees Committee of the State Council (ADCSC) and former President of USST, led a team to participate in the High-end Forum on Systems Science Discipline Construction & Development. Prof. Zhao Laijun, dean of the Business School of USST, Prof. Gao Yan, head of the systems science discipline, and Senior Experimentalist Zhi Luping, office director of Shanghai Academy of Systems Science, participated in the forum.

The forum was guided by Shanghai Academy of Systems Science, hosted by Chongqing Jiaotong University (CQJTU), and was organized by School of Mathematics and Statistics of CQJTU, as well as Systems Science Academy of CQJTU. In this forum, experts and scholars, in the fields of systems science as well as related disciplines, shared the advanced experience in discipline construction, talent training, scientific research, management innovation and other aspects.
At the forum, Ding Xiaodong, on behalf of the Disciplinary Review Panel on Systems Science under the ADCSC, delivered a speech, and reported on “Adhering to the System Mindset and Constructing the System Science’, which pointed out the direction for the development of China's systems science discipline from four aspects:adhering to the system concept of discipline construction, new paradigm of system discipline construction, the frontier research of systems science, and the construction of systems science degree programs. Zhao Laijun reported on “The Development of Systems Science in USST”, including an overview of systems science disciplines of USST, as well as the major research areas.
