Call for Volunteers - Student Report for EQUIS Accreditation
The Business School of the University of Shanghai for Science and Technology (USSTBS) invites its students to actively engage in EQUIS accreditation, an initiative of great importance for the School. We are looking for volunteers interested in contributing to the drafting of the Student Report, an independent document that will form part of the documentation required for the EQUIS (EFMD Quality Improvement System) accreditation process.
EQUIS is one of the most prestigious international accreditation systems for Business Schools and university departments/colleges in management and economics. USSTBS has gained EQUIS Eligibility and is currently initiating preparations for the Peer Review Visit.
Taking part in this initiative means contributing first-hand to the strategic process of quality evaluation and continuous improvement within our School. The experience acquired will strengthen participants’ CVs and enhance competitiveness among multinational companies or institutions, as EQUIS accreditation is regarded as a mark of distinction in business education and academic excellence.
The Student Report to be drafted (approximately 20 questions, total length of about 10 pages) aims to present students' views and opinions on the performance of the Business School and will serve as a core annex to the Self-Assessment Report (SAR). The SAR evaluates the School's performance against EQUIS standards across several areas: Governance, Programmes, Students, Faculty, Research, Executive Education, Resources and Administration, Internationalisation, ERS (Ethics, Responsibility and Sustainability), and Connections with Practice.
Selected students will work collaboratively to complete the Student Report. During the EQUIS Peer Review Visit, scheduled for January 12-14, 2027, the group will take part in direct meetings with the Peer Review Team to discuss their findings.
