On the afternoon of October 18th, the Department of Finance held a Seminar on master of Finance and master of National Economics, in the lecture Hall on the first floor in the School of Science. The dean of Department of Finance, Prof. Yingjun SUN, Prof. Hanjiang HUANG, Prof. Liuliu KONG, relevant tutors and graduate students attended the seminar. The seminar was presided over by Ting ZHANG, the party branch secretary.
Prof. Yingjun SUN gave a speech first. She briefly reviewed the achievements of the two professors, Hanjiang HUANG and Liuliu KONG, in scientific research and teaching. In particular, she pointed out the major contributions made by the two professors to the establishment of the master’s degree in finance and the master’s degree in national economics. Affirmation and gratitude to the two professors for their efforts and contributions in the construction and development of the discipline was made.
Professor Kong gave an academic report on “The qualities financial professionals should possess”, and introduced in detail the qualities required by financial professionals for the graduate students who attended. Then, Professor Hanjiang HUANG gave a speech. As a witness and contributor to the development and construction of the school, Professor Huang looked back on his own learning and work experience with deep feeling, and summarized his contributions to the School. Professors HUANG and KONG had made outstanding contributions to the construction of the economic discipline and cultivated many outstanding talents in economics and finance.
Representatives of graduate students under the guidance of the two professors gave speeches. They expressed their deep gratitude and blessings to the two professors for their academic guidance, professional training and kindness in educating people.
After the report, the two professors gave patient and meticulous answers to the employment issues that the students were concerned about, so that the students had a deeper understanding of career planning and a clearer goal for future self-development.
