On July 6 of 2019, the final of the 5th National University Students Academic Creative Competition of Energy Economy was held at China University of Mining and Technology, which was sponsored by the China Association of optimization and Economic Mathematics, co-sponsored by the low-carbon Development Management Professional Committee of China “double-law” research association and the School of Management of China University of Mining and Technology, and co-sponsored by Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics. In the graduate team led by Qin Bingtao of the Business School, Huang Yudi won the first prize, Ge Liming won the third prize, and Wei Wendong’s undergraduate team won two third prizes. At the same time, Qin Bingtao won the “Outstanding Instructor Award”, and our school won the “Outstanding Organization Award” for the outstanding performance of teachers and students from University of Shanghai for Science and Technology.
National University Students Academic Creative Competition of Energy Economy is the one with the largest number of participants and the broadest participation in the field of energy economics in China. A total of 637 items entered for the competition were received from 118 universities including Tsinghua University, Renmin University of China and Wuhan University. The competition aims to promote the development of economics and management, improve the innovative consciousness and ability of college students, and encourage young people to study energy and environmental issues, so as to contribute to the construction of ecological civilization.
