On the morning of July 2, the signing ceremony of the partnership agreement between the University of Shanghai for Science and Technology and the “Community Governance” of Changbai Xincun Street was held in conference room 506 of the school. Deng Yuanjian, secretary of the Party Work Committee of Changbai Xincun Street, Jiang Yongdong, director of the autonomous office, Huang Caiyou, deputy director of the Working Committee of Changbai Xincun Street People’s Congress, Party branch secretary of the residential district, and representatives of social organizations, and Li Qin, vice-minister of the Organization Department of the Party Committee of our university; Wang Wei, Secretary of the Party Committee of Business School; and representatives of Party branch secretaries of various departments and party members and teachers of the Department of Public Administration attended the signing ceremony of the agreement on joint construction in pairs, and co-construction on the direction and content of exchanges. First of all, Changbai Xincun Street autonomy office director Jiang Yongdong on the “Community Governance” pair of co-construction of the situation of a brief introduction, elaborated the background and early progress of the pair of co-construction. Subsequently, Secretary Wang Wei and Secretary Deng Yuanjian signed the “Community Governance” joint construction agreement in the presence of all the guests.
After the signing ceremony, representatives of both sides made a statement. Associate Professor Zhu Shuicheng, director of the Department of Public Administration of University of Shanghai for Science and Technology, introduced the preliminary work of the joint project and made a statement that all the teachers and students of the Department of Public Administration would fully support the joint project.Then, Zhang Xiaoyan, secretary of general Party branch of Chang2 (1) residential area, Changbai Xincun Street, made a speech, briefly introducing the main content and follow-up arrangements of the joint construction.
Afterwards, Secretary Wang Wei made a brief introduction of the historical development and the situation of the school, and expressed his gratitude to the students of the school for providing practical opportunities and platforms for them to apply the professional knowledge of public administration to practical problems through the joint construction of “Community Governance” in Changbai Street. At the same time, the Business School will give full play to its disciplinary and professional advantages, earnestly organize forces to fully support the in-depth development of joint construction, and make due contributions to the construction of a new type of community-level social governance full of vitality and efficiency by jointly exploring community governance with characteristics of Changbai Streets under the guidance of party construction.
Finally, Changbai Xincun Street Party Committee Secretary Deng Yuanjian in the context of the new era of community governance as a practical dilemma, fully affirmed the significance of joint and co-construction. “Community Governance” pair of build as Changbai Street, departments and the deepening and the extensions of institute party committee on cooperation, on the one hand can play both sides of the resource advantage to build brand effect of grassroots governance, on the other hand can also be used for the theoretical research to provide a live case support, Changbai Street, full of looking forward to the future cooperation for both sides.
