On the afternoon of June 11, the prize presentation ceremony of the 2019 “Pangyuan Cup” business simulation competition was held in the second conference room of Business School, the Chairman of the Board of directors of Shanghai Pangyuan Machinery Leasing Co. , Chai Zhaoyi, the department of Graduate Work, the Office of the Education Development Foundation, the National Experimental Teaching Center of Economic Management and the relevant officials of the Business School attended the award ceremony, the competition came to a successful conclusion.
The awards ceremony kicked off with a retrospective video of the competition. In 2019 “Pangyuan Cup” Business Simulation Competition Shanghai University Invitational Competition began to prepare from February this year, has experienced training, preliminary, rematch and final, over four months. Universities including Shanghai Ocean University, Shanghai Second University of Technology, Shanghai University of Engineering Sciences, Shanghai Electric Power University, Shanghai University of Political Science and Law and Shanghai Lixin School of Accounting and Finance were invited to participate in the competition, a total of 150 teams and 750 students signed up for the competition.
Speaking at the ceremony, Wang Wei, the party secretary ofBusiness School, said that since the 40th anniversary of the establishment of the Institute of Systems Science and systems engineering, teachers have been studying and devoting themselves to their studies, we have trained a large number of excellent students with a solid foundation, both moral and talent, and a successful career. Systems engineering is an outstanding alumnus of our school. Chai established Pang Yuan scholarship in his Alma Mater in 2011, and sponsored the enterprise simulation competition in 2013. He cares about the construction of his old school and the development of students. The competition is an important measure of the practical education in the college. It is hoped that the students can further understand the mode of enterprise management and related professional knowledge, and realize their dreams of enterprise management in the simulation environment.
Wang Ruisan, deputy director of the Alumni Work Liaison Office, read out the list of winners. The team “Earn It 100 Million First” won the grand prize. The team “Win Back to Open the Party” and the team “Birds in Pairs in The Trees” won the first prize, “Shadow King” and other three teams won the second prize, “Sugar Sydney” and other four teams won the third prize, “Fate Is Li” and other five teams won the award.
Huang Lin delivered her acceptance speech on behalf of University of Shanghai for Science and Technology, who said she felt most deeply about the importance of details in determining success or failure and the team, “every detail may be the key to success, before the competition, must plan a good plan, according to the right to upgrade when the expansion, remember not blind expansion; enterprises in the production plan must have a long-term vision, not at present benefits... ERP sand table simulation is a team cooperation activities, a good team is the key to success, everyone should understand their own goals and positioning, play their role actively to enable the enterprise to develop efficiently.” Zhang Tianyi from Shanghai Lixin School of Accounting and Finance shared his thoughts on the competition, “As an out-of-school team going to the University of Shanghai for Science and Technology, there is a sense of distance at first, then from strangeness to familiarity, from familiarity to tacit cooperation, all thanks to the opportunity given by the competition to discuss together, to make decisions together, to budget together and, in the process, to grow and reap the rewards of learning together.”
Wei Dong, head of the Graduate Work Department, made a speech. He fully affirmed the significance of the competition in cultivating the comprehensive qualities of college students. He stressed that students should set up a global concept, cultivate a spirit of cooperation, and enhance their ability to overcome difficulties, and we hope that students can take up the new era to give us the responsibility to continue to carry forward the courage to explore, the courage to learn the spirit.

Enterprise simulation business competition is one of our school’s excellent traditional activities, has been successfully held for 10 years. The competition is jointly organized by the Office of the Education Development Foundation, the Graduate Work Department, Business School and the National Experimental Teaching Demonstration Center of Economic Management. The competition adopted the touch-type start-up simulation sand table training platform, took the production-type enterprise as the background, through simulating the modern enterprise structure, let the contestants understand the basic operation mode of the modern enterprise, the key examination and assessment of the competition students’ ability of business operation simulation.
