On the afternoon of June 5th, at the invitation of the Finance Department of the School of Management of the University of Shanghai for Science and Technology, three managers from the Zhang Yang Road Sales Department of Xiangcai Securities Company came to Professor Sun Yingjun’s Intermediate Finance Classroom to get in touch with and communicate with the students, in order to solve students’ problems.
First, Manager Yang, an investment consultant from Xiangcai Securities, reviewed the development of China’s stock market for the students. From the opening of the A-share market, it has traversed the major events that have developed so far, such as the opening of the Shanghai Stock Exchange, and the implementation of the circuit breaker mechanism of investment. Classic cases and vivid descriptions gave the students more comprehensive understanding of the development process of the securities market and realized that the orderly and prosperous market environment is hard-won.
Then Manager Yang explained the relevant knowledge of the actual operation of securities trading. It not only explained the account functions in detail, but also analyzed the financial principles of various stock trading software and fund investment portfolios.
Subsequently, Manager Zhang of Xiangcai Securitiesconducted an on-site Q&A session with the students, answering questions about the employment prospects of the securities industry, how institutional investors can profit, and the development trend of inclusive finance that the students are focusing on. He also gave his own opinions on current hot issues and the impact of the Sino-US trade war on the domestic securities market from the perspective of securities practitioners.
At the end of the activity, Mr. Sun expressed his gratitude to the three managers who took time out of his busy schedule to come to the classroom. He also educates the students that finance is a subject that combines theory and practice, and it is also a subject that keeps pace with the times. Innovative disciplines, it is not enough to rely on the knowledge in books. As a graduate student, we must pay equal attention to knowledge and practice, and strive to become a compound talent in the contemporary technology and finance theme, and encourage students to learn endlessly and actively.
