The Department of Information Management and Information Systems held the “Flexible MCDA Sorting: AHP Fuzzy Sort” Academic Seminar

Updated:2019-06-06

On the morning of May 31st, by the invitation of the Department of Information Management and Information Systems, Luis Martinez Lopez, a full-time professor of the Department of Computer Science, Director of the ICT Research Center, and a well-known expert in the field of intelligent decision-making at Universidad de Jaen, Spain, held the “Flexible MCDA Sorting: AHP Fuzzy Sort” academic report in the School Room 506 . The meeting was addressed by Zhang Yongqing, the vice dean of the School, and presided over by Zhang Xinrui, director of the International Office.

The academic report consists of three parts. Professor Luis Martinez Lopez first briefly introduced the historical overview and development status of the School of Computer Science at the University of Jaen in Spain, and expressed the intention of further exchanges and cooperation between the School of Computer Science of the University of Jaen and the Business School of the University of Shanghai for Science and Technology in the future. Subsequently, Professor Luis Martinez Lopez introduced an Analytic Hierarchy Process Fuzzy Sorting model in a simple way. This model uses fuzzy set theory and fuzzy language methods to improve the allocation and classification mode of candidates in a flexible way, thereby providing more realistic ranking results. Finally, Professor Luis Martinez Lopez and the students conducted a question and answer session. The students asked questions about the fuzzy sorting method, the future development direction of intelligent decision-making methods, and the new challenges faced by intelligent decision-making in the artificial intelligence era. In response to these questions, Professor Luis Martinez Lopez gave detailed answers one by one.

At the end of the lecture, the host Zhang Xinrui made a summary of the meeting and expressed her gratitude to Professor Luis Martinez Lopez for coming. The academic lecture ended perfectly with the warm applause of the students.
