Vice President Wu Zhong’s delegation to Edinburgh and Burrows visit situation exchange meeting

On the afternoon of May 16, 2019, Vice President Wu Zhong went to Edinburgh and Burrows to visit and exchange in the conference room 506 of the School of Management. School leaders Cai Yonglian and Wu Zhong, Director of Academic Affairs Office Zhu Jianmin, Director of International Exchange Office Ma Xiaoting, Deputy Director Su Mingxu, School of Management Party Secretary Wang Wei, Vice President Zhang Zheng, Director of International Construction Office Zhang Xinrui and other related personnel attended the event. The meeting was hosted by Wang Wei, Secretary of the Party Committee of the School of Management.

Vice President Wu Zhong shared the experience and gains of the visit with the participants in terms of the background, itinerary, and details of the visit. This visit included a trip to Edinburgh, UK to attend the AACSB meeting and a trip to the University of Borås, Sweden for consultations on bilateral cooperation. From April 13th to 16th, 2019, AACSB held the Quality Assurance Conference and the 2019 Global Annual Conference in Edinburgh, UK. During the meeting, the delegation carefully studied AACSB’s quality assurance requirements and concepts, as well as the dynamics of certification standards And future plans; and according to the pre-appointed time, I had a separate meeting with the head of the Asia-Pacific region, Amy Memon, to communicate on our school’s work after the first certification and future progress plans; in addition, the delegation also accepted the AACSB global chief certification officer Stephanie Bryant congratulated our school on passing the first AACSB certification. On April 17, the delegation arrived at the University of Borås, Sweden, and held talks with the Vice President of the University of Borås, Kim Bolton, the Dean of the School of Textile, Engineering and Business Ragne Emardsson, and the head of the doctoral program Jenny Balkow. The two parties reviewed the results and existing problems of the previous cooperation, and discussed the direction of future cooperation, especially the possibility of cooperation at the graduate level and faculty research in the aspects of big data, business intelligence, etc.; subsequently, the visiting delegation and our school The students currently studying in Borås met, learned about their lives and studies in Sweden, and strengthened discipline and safety education. Director Ma Xiaoting also gave some suggestions and policy answers on the mission plan and route arrangement.

Vice President Cai Yonglian made a concluding speech at the end of the meeting, and pointed out that this visit and exchanges were carried out at the college level and the format was novel, which would help everyone to have more in-depth and detailed exchanges and discussions, and to learn more about relevant information.
