In order to help college students choose their own career development direction and guide them on how to prepare a tailor-made wonderful resume, on the afternoon of April 1st, Business School held a lecture on “Career Development and Resume Making” in the first conference room on the fifth floor. Ni MENG, the recruiting supervisor of Shanghai Randstad Talent Service Co., Ltd., one of the world’s top 500 enterprises, was invited as the guest speaker. This lecture was organized by CoffeeTime Studio, and more than 200 college students in the university enthusiastically signed up for the lecture.
MENG taught in detail how to prepare for the resume from four aspects. First of all, she made a few suggestions on the resume format. For example, choose the appropriate format, pay attention to the concise content, control the resume page, and increase appropriate creativity. Resume templates are also an indispensable part. The eye-catching templates can be searched on the Internet. Then, MENG explained in detail the composition of the resume content. A high-quality resume should contain six elements including basic information, educational information, internships, project experience, honors and skills. She pointed out that it was necessary to focus on the key points and control the length of the resume. For example, when applying for HR positions, you must carefully analyze the job requirements, whether it is salary management or recruitment training. Then you should draw on your internship experience, and write and write relevant experience according to the “STAR Rule”. Finally, MENG shared reliable resume delivery channels, and pointed out the format issues that need to pay attention to in business emails.
