Go Deep into the Student Dormitory and Talk about Employment Problems

In order to further improve the employment of graduates, on June 5th, Pro.Zhang Zheng, deputy dean of the Business School, Pro. He Jianjia and Dr. Zhou Yang from the Department of Business Administration, Pro. Liu Qinming and Dr. Yang Yuying from the Department of Industrial Engineering, Dr. Shu Yiming and Miss. Shang Yunren from the College’s Undergraduate Academic Affairs Office, and others went to the student dormitory to conduct interviews and discuss with graduates the employment problems under the influence of the epidemic.

“What problems do you encounter when looking for a job?”, “Are there any difficulties in life during the epidemic?”, “Any suggestions for undergraduate teaching in the college?” ...Vice Dean Zhang Zheng  had a cordial exchange with students when he arrived in a dormitory every time. Combining with personal experience, students were encouraged to exercise at the grassroots level to develop their hard skills. He Jianjia, in charge of the business administration major, put forward many valuable suggestions to the students of the postgraduate education. Liu Qinming, in charge of the industrial engineering major, introduced the broad prospects of the development of country’s manufacturing industry to the students. In a relaxed and happy atmosphere, teachers and students conducted in-depth exchanges on topics related to employment situation, undergraduate teaching, employment psychology, interview skills, job requirements, and future planning.

Through this visit to the dormitory, the distance between the college’s undergraduate and teachers has been shortened, which is conducive to the students to establish a positive and optimistic attitude to face the employment challenges. In the future, college undergraduate teachers will continue to conduct dormitory visits, strengthen communication with students, answer students’ questions in a timely manner, help students establish a correct outlook on employment, and further enhance students’ employment competitiveness.
