“Let Graduates Become Kites with Never-End Lines” --Ideological and Political Teaching of the Department of Business Administration and Student Employment Promotion Seminar

On the afternoon of June 3rd, the Department of Business Administration convened all teachers to hold a “Curriculum Ideological and Political Teaching and Employment Promotion Seminar”. The meeting was hosted by Pro. He Jianjia. Before the meeting, Vice Dean Zhang Zheng presented the construction situation of ideological and political courses and the tasks of graduates’ employment promotion through the WeChat work group, and pointed out that the whole department should follow Premier Li Keqiang’s promise of “let college graduates become continuous kites”.

At the beginning of the meeting, Pro. Ge Yuhui and He Jianjia respectively conveyed the spirit of instruction from schools and colleges on the ideological and political teaching innovations of courses, and the promotion of graduate employment. Subsequently, Pro. Ge Yuhui gave a brief report on the employment trends of the 2016 graduates of the Department of Business Administration, and introduced the employment situation of the graduates in previous years. Pro. He Jianjia counted the employment situation of each tutor and instructs students in turn, and asked every teacher to continue to improve the curriculum of ideological and political teaching construction, so that the curriculum of ideological and political teaching goals and syllabus were closely connected with the professional goals of the Department of Business Administration of “two types and one”. Further work arrangements were made for the case study of curriculum ideological and political teaching and the writing of teaching research papers.

In addition, the meeting also invited Wei Ying, the 2016 business administration instructor to introduce the employment situation of graduates, the basic situation of students and the graduation work process.

At the meeting, teachers from all departments spoke enthusiastically, discussing the achievement and optimization of the ideological and political teaching of the “Navigation Plan” course and how to guide and promote the high-quality employment of 2016 graduates. A series of measures have been established to establish a database of employment intentions and employment progress of graduates of the Department of Business Administration. The employment status of graduates is classified according to “study abroad”, “postgraduate advancement”, “preparation for civil servants or institutions”, “signed employment contracts” and Graduates with different employment intentions, such as “job hunting”, conduct dynamic and classified statistics, so that graduates’ employment promotion will be “policy by category” and “assistance by category” and provide graduates with precise employment guidance services.
