On the afternoon of the 19th, Wu Zhong, Vice President, Sun Hong, Member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee and Minister of the Organization Department, and Fan Zhengfei, Vice Minister came to the Business School to hold a middle-level cadre appointment meeting. Members of the Party and government leadership team and heads of internal institutions of the Business School attended the meeting. The meeting was chaired by Sun Hong.
At the meeting, Fan Zhengfei announced the school’s party committee’s decision on Comrade Zhao Laijun’s appointment as the dean of the Business School, and the decision to dispense with the dean and deputy party secretary of the Business School of Comrade Zhou Xizhao. Afterwards, Zhao Laijun made a speech. First of all, he stated that he resolutely obeyed the organizational arrangements and was very happy to join the University of Shanghai for Science and Technology as a member of the Shanghai Polytechnic family. At the same time, he expressed gratitude to all teachers, students and previous leaders of the school for their contributions in the development of the Business School. He said that the Business School has an excellent tradition of running schools and a good foundation. Secretary Wang Wei then spoke. She said that last year, when the director Zhou Xizhao fell ill to be treated and recuperated, our school had worked hard together and experienced an extraordinary year. She affirmed and appreciated the cooperation and support of the college leadership team during this period. She expressed that she would closely cooperate with Dean Zhao Laijun and work hard to advance the work of the college. Dean Zhou Xizhao expressed his firm support for the decision of the school party committee and thanked the school party committee for its trust and support.
