Management Science and Engineering is a first-class discipline doctoral program of the Business School, University of Shanghai for Science and Technology, which originated from the System Engineering Discipline (formerly a key discipline of the Ministry of Machinery Industry) established with the support of Qian Xuesen in 1979.
In 1998, it took the lead with Fudan University, Jiaotong University and Tongji University, and won the right to confer first-class doctoral degree. In October 2003, with the approval of the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security and the National Postdoctoral Management Committee, the postdoctoral mobile station of Management Science and Engineering was established, which has a development history of nearly 40 years.
The main research fields include：Management System Engineering, Emergency Management and Public Opinion Management, Environmental Economy and Management, Logistics and Supply Chain Management, Financial Management Engineering, Enterprise Management Engineering, System Analysis and Integration, etc.
Now there are 27 postdoctoral cooperative tutors in the post-doctoral mobile stations.
