At 15:00 p.m. on December 3rd, the final competition of the University of Shanghai for Science and Technology’s fifth simulated job hunting competition for college students was held in the lecture hall on the first floor of the photoelectric building. This contest is organized by the Business School.
He Li, deputy director of the Shanghai University, he Li; Cao Jingshu, director of the Shanghai International Studies University; Dong Kui, director of the Shanghai Normal University’s Vocational School; Shao Xiaolei, chairman of Zhenwei new energy vehicles (Shanghai) Co. , Ltd. ; and Cao Ying, vice director of the University of Shanghai for Science and Technology, were invited to be the judges. The competition was attended by the Director of the Student Employment Centre, the Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of each college, some counsellors and students’ relatives and friends.
During the three-minute job-hunting blitz of the final, the contestants demonstrated their professional skills, personal presence and future plans; during the impromptu Q & a session, they methodically presented their insights and faced the judges’ questions, they fully demonstrated on the science and engineering students should have the down-to-earth self-confidence and good adaptability, won the audience’s warm applause. In the end, the judges made a few comments on the contestants. The contestants said that after this competition, they had a new understanding of themselves and their professional goals, and they were clearer about their future direction, this competition is a rare experience and opportunity.

The competition lasted more than 1 month, first by the college to organize the preliminary contest recommended, after the resume preliminary selection. There was a no-leading group simulation rematch, in the end, Business School, School of Optical-Electrical and Computer Engineering, School of Mechanical Engineering, School of Medical Instrument and Food Engineering and other 10 players from more than 100 players out of the finalists.

The competition is dedicated to providing a stage for students to display their outlook, display their talents, enhance their friendship and strengthen their job-hunting skills, promote learning through competitions, foster the concept of college students’ career development, and enhance students’ individual job-hunting skills and teamwork ability, help students of science to get good jobs.
