On the afternoon of March 9, at the invitation of Professor Ge Yuhui, Ding Feng, the director of the Education Bureau of Suiyang District in Shangqiu, visited the Executive Development Programs (EDP) center of the Business School for investigation and communication. Ge Yuhui, the executive deputy director of the EDP center, Zhang Baoming, the director of the Comprehensive Office of the EDP center, et al. warmly received them, and expressed a warm welcome to the arrival of relevant personnel.
This investigation and communication were mainly carried out in the way of visits and symposiums. The members of the EDP center led relevant personnel to visit the office building of the Business School, as well as the old or new EDP center. Then the two parts held a symposium to thoroughly discuss the teaching resources, the course contents, and the cooperation methods.
In the meeting room of the EDP center, Ms. Chen Lina introduced the situations and advantages of USST, the Business School, and the EDP center to the leaders. Mr. Zhang Wei showed the leaders the latest courses designed and carried out by the EDP center, including the national first-class teacher training for innovation and entrepreneurship, the innovation and entrepreneurship ERP experiential teacher training, the advanced seminars for outstanding managers, and the student study tours, etc.
Director Ding praised the achievements of the EDP center of USST, and expressed his gratitude for the warm reception of the EDP center. As a century-old school, USST had a profound cultural background, a strong faculty, and the first-rate teaching equipment and teaching environment. Through this communication, he hoped that we can learn from each other the experience in teaching management to further expand the horizons, develop creative thinking, and enhance management capability. When talking about regular training for teachers, he said that teachers need to be continuously trained, learned, and absorbed new knowledge, new technology, and new concept, thus they can continuously improve their intellectual equipment and skills and impart the latest knowledge to their students. The EDP center’s “customized, elastic educational system” curriculum has great advantages of allowing students to arrange their learning time more flexibly, choosing appropriate courses for self-improvement, and meeting individual needs. This is of great significance to the improvement of teachers’ teaching and students’ employment skills. Also, director Ding encouraged everyone to be honest and trustworthy, to work hard, to reflect diligently, to summarize more, and to strive to make more contributions to the team and society.
During the discussion, professor Ge pointed out that this year is the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China. Learning history to make sense, to increase credit, to respect morality, to practice history, to learn party history, to understand ideas, to do practical things, and to make new breakthroughs is the sacred mission given by history. It is also the ardent expectation of General Secretary Xi. Moreover, in addition to providing a series of comprehensive management courses for the trainees, the EDP center has also designed a series of courses on red culture, red tourism, emergency management, big data, and artificial intelligence empowerment. It is hoped that these courses can satisfy the needs of the education and training market well.
Finally, the personnel of each part also exchanged business development and management experience, hoping to strengthen contacts and communications in the future to jointly promote education management.
