Mr. Zhang Peng, deputy director of general office for Shanxi Province Yuncheng Economic and Technological Development Zone paid a visit to the business school USST and discussed about strategic cooperation with USST-BS on Nov 5.
Dr. He Jianjia, Vice Dean of the USST-BS , greeted the guests. Dr. Yao Jiao, party secretary of the Department of Transportation System Engineering hosted the activity. Mrs. Wang Hui, the director of business attraction center of Shanxi Province Yuncheng Economic and Technological Development Zone, introduced the industrial landscape of the Zone, and their demand in the areas of key topics in science and technology, commercialization of scientific findings, and employing talents. Then, Vice Dean He Jianjia briefly introduced the USST-BS about its history, discipline structure , postgraduate program, social service, and industry-university-research collaboration . the USST-BS and guests discussed actively about linking industry to academic, scientific and technological research, translating research findings and academic research and communication. Two sides reached a consensus on digitalization of local social and economic development and operation model of university science park.
Furthermore, representatives of two sides signed an agreement for strategic cooperation. The agreement would make full use of talent and academic resources of USST-BS to help with the areas of local industrial development, attracting business and investment, promoting critical projects, environment protection, and party building. At the same time, the agreement will provide for think-tank expert consultancy and strategic planning.
In the end, the guests presented cultural and creative products featuring local specialty. The experts in the USST-BS
were invited to attend the event “Yun Cai Xing Yun” , which will be held on Nov 10, in the city of Yuncheng, Shanghai province.
