The 2022 New Year Joint Working Meeting for the Sino-US Joint Program of Business Administration was Successfully Held

On the morning of March 3, the 2022 New Year Joint Working Meeting Sino-US Joint Program of Business Administration was held in Meeting Room 605, Block B of the BS-USST. American staff participated through online VooV Meeting.The meeting was hosted by Vice Dean He Jianjia. Mr. Yang Wei, the program director of the University of North Dakota, Prof. Ge Yuhui, the Director of the Department of Business Administration, Dr. Zhou Yang, the Deputy Head of the department, Mr. Shu Yiming, the Head of the Undergraduate Academic Affairs Office, Mr. Pan Tao of the International Affaris Office of  USST and incoming faculty and staffs of the Internationalization Office were present in  the meeting.

Vice Dean He Jianjia firstly briefed the operational status of the Sino-US Joint Program of Business Administration and asserted the achievements. He expressed his gratitudes to the departments and faculty of USST and America involved in the program. At the same time, he elaborated on the support from USST , the Interantional Affairs Office and relevant departments to the American representatives. Director Ge Yuhui introduced the recent key work of the program and the construction of first-class undergraduate majors in Shanghai under the circumstances of reforming and innovating the mode of talent cultivation in the new era. Yang Wei conveyed the concern and attention of the leaderships of the University of North Dakota for the Sino-US Joint Program of Business Administration and the strong willingness of the American faculty to take up teaching tasks and explore other forms of cooperation.

Afterwards, the two sides exchanged views on the current job priorities, including the mode of talent cultivation, quality assurance, the approaches accessible to American teachers conducting lectures and the system of hiring teachers. The work was also discussed including commencement for students who would graduate this semester, docking work of hiring teachers in U.S. arrangement of joint management committee meeting, renewal of the contract and program expansion etc..  Either side will report resolutions of today’s meeting to and obtain the endorsement from their respective department-in-charge.
