On June 9, the Business School and the University of Delaware Lerner School of Business held a video conference on a dual-degree MBA training. Zhang Zheng, Vice Dean of Business School and Director of MBA Program, University of Shanghai for Science and Technology, Zhong Weibing, Director of Office of International Construction of Business School, Wang Yaopeng, assistant dean, Rick Andrews, Vice Dean of Lerner School of Business, University of Delaware, and Chairman of Huacui Sunshine International Education， Mr. Chunhai Yu and others attended the meeting.
First, Rick Andrews, deputy dean of the University of Delaware Lerner School of Business, briefly introduced the basics of the University of Delaware. The University of Delaware (University of Delaware) is located in Newark, Delaware, United States. Founded in 1743, it is one of the oldest first-class public research universities in the United States, with a total enrollment of 22,852 students. The University of Delaware has seven colleges with more than 300 master’s programs and a strong faculty. It is ranked 97th in the 2021 US News American universities and public universities 29th and has passed AACSB certification in 1966.
Zhong Weibing and Wang Yonglian introduced the overview of the international exchange, professional degree center and MBA project respectively. Subsequently, the two sides exchanged views on the joint training cooperation agreement drafted by the Business School of the University of Shanghai for Science and Technology, focusing on credit conversion, enrollment, teaching methods (online / offline) and English ability requirements. After in-depth exchanges and exchange of views, the two sides agreed to establish closer communication channels, implement the consensus of the meeting and strive for the signing of cooperation documents at an early date. Through this meeting, the two sides have enhanced mutual understanding and laid the foundation for further in-depth cooperation.
Our university passed the AACSB International Certification in May 2018, which laid a good foundation for the establishment of the double-degree MBA program at the Business School of the University of Shanghai for Science and Technology and the Alfred Lerner School of Business of the University of Delaware. Sino-foreign cooperation in running schools can introduce international educational resources, improve the global visibility and influence of schools, and cultivate business elites with modern enterprise management ability and global competitiveness.
