The world's first C919 plane was delivered to China Eastern Airlines on December 9, 2022. And the 100-hour verification flight started on December 26, marking a new milestone in China's large aircraft business. Behind the big plane dream into reality are the figures of USST business school alumni. They transformed what they learned during the university into a powerful driving force in the actual work, and contributed to the research and development of C919 with the wisdom from USST business school.
Perseverance, to fulfill the original heart of work with love
Xie Faju, who graduated from the Industrial Engineering of Business School in 2019, joined the Production Management Department of COMAC Shanghai Aircraft Manufacturing Co., Ltd. and was engaged in the production management of large passenger aircraft, mainly involved in flat tail assembly and component assembly.
He recalled that when he first joined the workforce, the C919 large aircraft had successfully made its maiden flight, and a number of development batches of aircraft had been in production test flights in the field, while he was involved in the whole process of batch production and delivery of the first C919 large passenger aircraft. As a member of the C919 large passenger aircraft business construction, I feel immense pride and joy. The moment of successful delivery will be remembered in my heart, and it also reinforces my original intention of working for the country in aviation. I will continue to move forward with my dream and love, forge brilliance with struggle and effort, and add bricks to the big aircraft business.

Down-to-earth, tolerate loneliness to harvest success
In the past 3 years since graduation, industrial engineering graduate from the Business School, Binbin Yang, has been mainly responsible for lean manufacturing and industrial engineering related content in the Commercial Aircraft Division, doing lean layout planning and economic improvement of production lines on the basis of process layout. She is also involved in the digital transformation of the company, such as manufacturing electronic signage, placed in front of each work station of the production line, so that it displays information such as manufacturing progress, to visualize the process, and to improve efficiency and accuracy by building an information technology platform to electronicize the paper management process.
No matter what work we do, we must always maintain a serious attitude to work. Yang Binbin said, The nature of this work determines that it can not be achieved overnight, and it is difficult to harvest the results of work in a short period of time, so we must have enough patience to break through the technical difficulties, and we must tolerate loneliness. In her opinion, the spirit of long-term dedication, long-term hardship, which is the corporate slogan of COMAC, fits well with the quality of down-to-earth given by SEPCO, and she said, I will do my best to finish every job.
