On the morning of January 31, 2023, the preparatory meeting for the establishment of the Development Strategy Advisory Committee of BS was held online. The Development Strategy Advisory Committee aims to strengthen the strategic guidance and top-level design, improve the influence of the School at home and abroad and the scientific level of decision making, and promote the connotation and high-quality development of the School. At this meeting, the name of the committee was determined as the Development Strategy Advisory Committee of the Business School of University of Shanghai for Science and Technology (hereinafter referred to as the Committee), and the committee's constitution, member list and related work were discussed. Members of the Party and government leading group of the School, senior leaders of the School and relevant personnel attended the meeting, which was presided over by the Dean Zhao Laijun.

First of all, Zhao Laijun introduced the background of the establishment of the committee. He said that the School had launched EQUIS certification at the beginning of 2022, and began to build an international school-running demonstration zone in 2022. In 2023, it will usher in AACSB re-certification. In combination with the international construction situation, the School will establish a development strategy advisory committee to provide advice for BS's decision making and help the BS's development.
Subsequently, Vice Dean He Jianjia introduced the purpose and nature of the Development Strategy Advisory Committee, the practice of benchmarking institutions, the principles of the composition of the members, the proposed list of recommendations and the constitution of the Committee, and reported the work progress of the Committee.

Next, the participants held extensive and in-depth discussions on the improvement and revision of the committee's constitution, member list and improvement and modification of the related work, and put forward strategic guidance and suggestions for the development of the committee.
Finally, Zhao Laijun made a promoting deployment of the next key work of the establishment of the committee. He said that the next step was to accelerate the construction of the committee, focus on exploring and contacting the appropriate experts and scholars of the committee, and determine the final list of personnel and constitutions of the committee as soon as possible, so as to prepare for the formal establishment of the Development Strategy Advisory Committee.
In the future, the committee will give full play to the collective wisdom and intellectual integration advantages of experts, provide targeted and practical advice for the School's decision making and implementation, provide intellectual support for the School's development, and help the School build an international first-class elite business school.
