Recently, Jiaqi Chen, a master student of systems science in our school, published a paper in the high-level international journal Chaos, Solitons & Fractals (Journal Ranking of Chinese Academy of Sciences: I, Top Journal, IF=9.932). The paper is entitled Competition of SARS-CoV-2 variants on the pandemic transmission dynamics. Jiaqi Chen is the first author, Prof. Gu Changgui is the corresponding author, and Prof. Tang Ming from East China Normal University and Associate Prof. Ruan Zhongyuan from Zhejiang University of Technology are the co-authors.

This paper constructs an infectious disease model considering the competition among new coronavirus variants in the context of a new coronavirus pandemic, and investigates the effect of this competition on transmission dynamics.
