In the afternoon of Feb. 23, Qiu Yumei, founder of Shanghai Ruiwen Information Technology Co., Ltd. and alumna of the Business School, entering the accounting department in 1998, visited our university and had a discussion on assisting female students in employment, holding women's forums and empowering women's development. The Deputy Director of Planning and Alumni Department in the University Shanghai for Science and Technology (USST), Situ Weier, the Deputy Director of Department of Student Work, Feng Lei, the Deputy Director of Work Union and Women’s Committee, Yang Xiangning, the Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of Business School, Pu Yingying, and other related teachers for alumni work attended the meeting. The meeting was hosted by Pu Yingying.
At the meeting, alumna Qiu Yumei firstly recalled her time in school and expressed her gratitude for the warm reception given by the university. Then, she made a detailed introduction from the origin of the business, the development history of the enterprise, its business areas, cooperation paradigm, existing product lines, operation team, and etc. She said that Ruiwen “SHE POWER” has been devoted to the growth and development of women since its establishment, developing into the first platform for the growth and socialization of professional women in China. “SHE POWER has held “the Global New Economy Outstanding Women Summit” for many years, which has achieved great social effects and benefits. It has cooperated with many universities and government departments, and such approach can be applied to also to the cooperation between “SHE POWER” and USST.
After that, related departments have carried out warm and in-depth exchanges and discussions on the alumni resources, student growth and employment, and the development and care of female teachers in universities, and reached a preliminary agreement on the intention of establishing the SHE POWER center, creating a forum for women's brand, serving the career development and planning of female students. We are looking forward to building a platform for female teachers and students to accompany their grow with the help of quality resources from outside the university, and to motivate them positively and continuously.
