On February 26, the second meeting of the Steering Committee of the China System Science Conference in 2023 was held at the University of Shanghai for Science and Technology (USST) in the form of online and offline integration. Members of the Steering Committee of the China System Science Conference and invited guests, as well as representatives of the organizers of the 7th China System Science Conference, attended the meeting. The meeting was chaired by Academician Guo Lei, Director of the Steering Committee of the China System Science Conference.

The meeting discussed the candidates for the plenary speakers of the 7th China System Science Conference. Academician Guo Lei emphasized the importance of the conference plenary speakers and explained the principles and precautions for recommending the conference plenary speakers. The experts attending the meeting discussed the recommended candidates in accordance with the recommendation principles, fully assessed and rigorously evaluated the recommended candidates, and preliminarily determined the candidate list of the conference plenary speakers.
The meeting discussed relevant special meeting affairs during the 7th China System Science Conference. Professor Ding Xiaodong, President of USST, and Professor Duan Xiaojun, the National University of Defense Technology, introduced the ideas and plans for holding the China System Science Discipline Development Forum during the conference. Professor Gu Chunhua, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of USST, explained the arrangements for holding the Steering Committee Meeting of the China System Science Conference and the Council Meeting of the Shanghai Academy of Systems Sciences during the conference.
