On March 28th, Elsevier released the 2022 Highly Cited Chinese Researchers list. Wei Guoliang, a doctoral advisor in Systems Science and professor in the Department of Systems Science of our college, was selected.
In 2022, a total of 5216 highly cited scholars from China were listed, including 504 universities, enterprises, and research institutions, covering 10 disciplinary fields and 84 first level disciplines of the Ministry of Education. The basic data extraction of highly cited scholars this time used the further optimized and updated first level discipline classification mapping of the Ministry of Education of Elsevier (covering 111 disciplines). This article level mapping makes the data of Chinese scholars' subject attribution, subject performance, and other aspects more intuitive, demonstrating the academic research ecology that is in line with China's discipline settings, improving and scientifically and accurately depicting the scientific research output of Chinese scholars, This provides effective assistance for further sorting, analyzing, and researching the citation performance of scholars, and also brings more scholars with outstanding performance in the field of segmentation into everyone's perspective.
