On May 10th, Hujiang Economic Management Forum Series (54th) was successfully held in the Lecture Hall of the Second Conference Room of the School of Management. Dr. Wei Fan, a lecturer from the Public Administration Department, gave an academic lecture entitled ‘Mixed Blessing of Supervisor-Subordinate Relationship: Mechanism, Dynamics, and Biased Evaluation’. This forum was chaired by Dr. Xinyu Liu.
Dr. Fan reviewed the relevant theories and existing conclusions in supervisor-subordinate exchange literature, and introduced his recent studies on the exchange and dynamical process of the supervisor-subordinate relationship, and its corresponding biased evaluation in a cultural context characterized as particularism.
Toward the end, Dr. Fan discussed the relevant future research direction with live participants.
