Business School Won Awards at the 21st China MBA Development Forum

From Sept. 22nd to 24th, the 21st China MBA Development Forum was held at Fujian Guwenchang Cadre College. This event was hosted by Shanghai Maritime University (SMU) and the MBA Committee of Shanghai Management Education Society, organized by the People's Government of Dongshan County and the SMU School of Economics & Management. Over 500 individuals attended the forum, including leaders from the China National MBA Education Supervisory Committee (CNMESC), Zhangzhou City, various Business Schools, MBA/EMBA program centers; presidents of MBA associations, representatives of MBA students and MBA alumni. At this forum, USSTBS won multiple awards.

Zhang Zheng, deputy dean of USSTBS, also serving as the deputy director of the Professional Degree Education Center (PDEC) and the director of the MBA Program, led the team to participate in the forum. He delivered a speech on the theme of Cultivating Project Characteristics and Optimizing Professional Direction at the sub-forum Dean's Forum.

 Zhang Zheng made a keynote speech

Zhao Laijun, dean of USSTBS, was awarded the 2022 China MBA Training Institution Leadership Award, while Zhang Zheng won the 2023 China MBA Training Institution Leadership Award. MBA alumnus Zong Jiawu from the 2004 class won the 2021 China MBA Top Ten Elites; MBA alumni Ren Weibing and Wang Yaping from the 2005 class and 2008 class were respectively awarded the Chinese MBA Alumni Innovation and Entrepreneurship Star; 2022 MBA students Meng Yuxuan and Zhang Bao won the China MBA New Star 100 award.

The Awarding Ceremony

The China MBA Development Forum was launched at Tsinghua Garden in the spring of 2000 and successfully held its first forum at Peking University in June of the same year. Since then, it has been held for 21 consecutive sessions and has become an authoritative exchange platform for exchanging ideas among Chinese MBA graduates. The forum is jointly created and constructed by hundreds of thousands of MBAs across the country and has been the largest and most influential MBA group event in China. In the sub-forums exchanges of this forum, representatives of faculty and students of our school participated in sub-forums such as Main Forum, Dean's Forum, Maker Forum, Chairman's Roundtable Forum, etc., to interact with representatives from MBA training institutions across the country. They shared their experiences and discussed challenges encountered in MBA development. 


 

In sub-forums such as the Dean's Forum, Maker Forum and the Chairman's Roundtable Forum, Business leaders, authoritative experts and scholars, well-known investors, media elites, deans of national Business Schools and representatives of outstanding MBA students gathered together to exchanged views on current hot topics.

Wang Yonglian, director assistant of the Comprehensive Office of PDEC, Zong Jiawu, an MBA alumnus of the 2004 class, as well as Meng Yuxuan and Zhang Bao, MBA students of the 2022 class, attended and participated in the discussions.
