To enhance the integration of industry and education as well as broaden the industry-academia-research cooperation, on the afternoon of January 16th, Zhao Laijun, dean of the Business School, Zhao Jing, deputy dean, and Han Yin, academic leader of the transportation engineering discipline, led a team to Shanghai Intelligent Transportation Co., Ltd. to carry out productive discussions and signed a cooperation agreement.
Zhao Laijun, on behalf of the Business School, expressed his gratitude to Shanghai Intelligent Transportation Co., Ltd. for their continuous support. He presented an overview of the university and the school’s history and development, highlighting the school’s discipline settings, graduate training, social services, and industry-academia-research cooperation.
Chang Guangzhao, general manager of Shanghai Intelligent Transportation Co., Ltd., gave a brief introduction to the company’s history. He introduced the features and shared several cases of the company's four business sectors, which include Intelligent Municipality, Intelligent Traffic Management, Intelligent Parking, and Intelligent Operation and Maintenance.
Han Yin presented the history of collaborations between USSTBS and Shanghai Intelligent Transportation Co., Ltd. He emphasized that the two sides have a wide range of opportunities for cooperation in terms of geographic location, professional matching, etc. Zhao Jing expressed his gratitude towards Shanghai Intelligent Transportation Co., Ltd. for their strong support to the school’s postgraduate education and employment, and he also put forward some suggestions in the field of data mining and intelligent traffic management. Yao Jiao introduced some implementation projects supported by the university in industry-academia-research cooperation.
The two sides also had a productive discussion on topics such as industry-academia-research cooperation, scientific and technological research, transformation of scientific research, academic exchanges, etc.
Representatives of the two sides signed the cooperation agreement aiming to leverage the talent advantages of the school's majors in transportation engineering, artificial intelligence, systems engineering, management science...The collaboration also intends to support Shanghai Intelligent Transportation Co., Ltd. in terms of scientific research, research transformation and project management. Additionally, it also offers students more opportunities for internships and employment. This partnership is a win-win cooperation for both sides involved.
