On March 26, Zhao Laijun, dean of USSTBS, together with Liu Qinming, director of the Department of Industrial Engineering, Geng Xiuli, secretary of the Party Branch of the Department of Industrial Engineering, Fan Chongjun, director of the Department of Information Management and Information Systems, Zhu Xiaodong, secretary of Party Branch of the Department of Information Management and Information Systems, and representatives of faculty members, including Prof. Liu Bin, Associate Prof. Liu Yong and Associate Prof. Ni Jing, visited the headquarters of Commercial Aircraft Corporation of China, Ltd. (COMAC) to carry out exchanges. Zhang Chao, director of System Engineering & Program Management Department of COMAC, Fang Feng, senior program director, and Dong Zhe, program director expressed their warm welcome to the delegation of the Business School.
At the exchange meeting, Zhao Laijun, on behalf of USSTBS, expressed his gratitude to the System Engineering & Program Management Department of COMAC for their warm reception. Zhao introduced the Business School’s history, organizational structure, talent cultivation, disciplines & majors, and research achievements in systems engineering. The other representatives introduced their respective scientific research in systems engineering and explored future cooperation opportunities with COMAC.
Zhang Chao introduced the history and accomplishments of COMAC's System Engineering & Program Management Department. He emphasized their commitment to strengthening the collaboration between universities and enterprises. Fang Feng also shared COMAC's efforts towards advancing the theory and practice of system engineering research.
The two sides had an in-depth discussion on the research and technical application of system engineering. They also carried out detailed exchanges on further collaboration in scientific research. Finally, the two sides reached a mutual agreement to co-organize the Large Aircraft Systems Engineering Carnival and MBSE Modeling Competition, which would mark the beginning of their collaboration.
