Under the frame of the Memorandum of Understanding signed between USST and the Oxford Prospects and Global Development Institute (OPGDI) of the University of Oxford, and to deepen the academic cooperation and exchanges between the two universities in the fields of economy and management, USSTBS held an Exchange Meeting for the Oxford Prospects Programmes in the conference room II, Building A of the Business School on the afternoon of April 22. Lu Yuchen, liaison officer of OPGDI, and Zhang Keyi, coordinator of the program, Zhang Zheng, vice dean of the Business School, Liu Weiwei, dean’s assistant for Internationalization, Zhao Qi of the British Cultural Exchange Center of USST Hujiang International Cultural Park, members of the Internationalization Office of the Business School, as well as student representatives, participated in the exchange meeting. On behalf of the Business School, Zhang Zheng firstly welcomed the visit of the University of Oxford delegation and introduced USSTBS in terms of its history, organizational structure, faculty team, and achievements in discipline construction, scientific research, talent cultivation, social service, and international cooperation. He mentioned that the School is looking forward to establishing in-depth cooperative relationships with world-renowned institutions, building a broader international exchange platform for faculty and students, and focusing on cultivating high-quality talents with global competitiveness.

Zhang Keyi introduced the University of Oxford's college federal system, outstanding academic reputation, and unique tutorial system; she focused on the 2024 Summer Oxford Prospects Programme, which mainly includes interdisciplinary academic module settings, industry guest lectures, visits to leading British companies, British cultural & social life experiences.

Zhao Qi introduced the cooperation between the University of Oxford and the USST, as well as the participation of our teachers and students in the previous Oxford Prospects Programmes; she also said that the Oxford Prospects Programme, which integrates the high-quality academic resources of OPGDI of Regent's College, is an international exchange program designed to provide interdisciplinary academic exchanges, expand students’ international horizons. She expressed the hope that students participating in the program would value the opportunity to visit world-class universities, improve their academic performance, and expand their academic horizons.

During the interaction session, students discussed details with the programme coordinators on the application requirements, admission process, assessment and evaluation, and they gained a lot of useful information.
