Business School Passes EQUIS Pre-accreditation Assessment

On May 23, the “Online Briefing” for the EQUIS accreditation of the Business School was successfully held. Organized by Prof. Susan Hart, Associate Director of EFMD Global, and Adriana Kudrnova Lovera, Senior Manager of EQUIS Quality Services Development, the session conducted a preliminary review and evaluation of the school’s development progress and its eligibility for the EQUIS international accreditation application. Attendees included Ma Jingbo, Secretary of the Party Committee of the Business School; Zhao Laijun, Dean of the School; Yan Jin, Deputy Party Committee Secretary; Vice Deans Zhao Jing, Fang Zhiming, and Liu Weiwei; along with faculty representatives from the School Office and various departments.

In accordance with EQUIS international accreditation guidelines, Prof. Susan Hart provided a comprehensive overview of EFMD, EQUIS accreditation standards, and related procedures to all attending faculty members. She further engaged in interactive discussions and addressed questions during a Q&A session to ensure the school’s thorough understanding of the accreditation framework.

Subsequently, Zhao Laijun, on behalf of the Business School, extended a warm welcome to the EQUIS expert panel and delivered a comprehensive presentation outlining the school’s overall development, strategic positioning, and key achievements.

The expert panel and the school’s leadership team engaged in thorough and in-depth discussions focusing on key areas such as the Strategic Development Advisory Committee, academic programs, faculty and student development, internationalization initiatives, digital transformation efforts, and industry partnerships.

The expert panel fully affirmed the comprehensive strength of the Business School, while providing suggestions regarding international influence and industry collaboration. They ultimately announced that the Business School has successfully passed the pre-assessment for accreditation.

This online pre-assessment qualification meeting for EQUIS accreditation constituted a pivotal preliminary review of the Business School’s eligibility for this prestigious certification. Successfully passing this pre-assessment phase represented a significant milestone in the institution’s EQUIS accreditation journey, marking crucial progress within the formal certification process.

The School will refine its accreditation Datasheet and actively finalize the Self-Assessment Report in strict compliance with the EQUIS Accreditation Committee’s guidelines and procedural requirements. Embracing the principle of “improvement through evaluation,” the School will consolidate its resources to comprehensively advance the high-quality internationalization.
