From June 6 to 9, the 15th National Finals of China University Business Elite Challenge (CUBEC) International Trade Competition was held at Ningbo International Conference and Exhibition Center. Co-organized by China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) and the China Chamber of International Commerce (CCOIC), the event was hosted by the CCPIT Commercial Sub-Council. Three teams guided by Business School faculty members Zhou Min, Tang Qiao, Han Bing, and Yang Le secured one Grand Prize, one First Prize, and one Second Prize, respectively. University of Shanghai for Science and Technology(USST) was awarded the “Best Institutional Organization Award”, while instructors Tang Qiao and Yang Le were recognized as “Outstanding Faculty Advisors”.
The National Finals adopted the format of the “2025 China Cross-Border Procurement Simulation Negotiation Meeting”. Competing under corporate banners, participating teams were evaluated across four categories: foreign trade exhibition business plans, booth poster design and product display, new product launch presentations, and trade negotiations. Following rigorous internal selections by participating institutions, 408 teams from 198 universities across 26 provinces, autonomous regions, and municipalities advanced to the national finals. The competition was fiercely contested, with a Grand Prize award rate of only 2.45%.
The outstanding achievements of the competition teams are attributable to their professional competence in international trade, fluent English communication, polished business etiquette, and excellent teamwork spirit, all of which were nurtured through the guidance of the faculty and the efforts of the students. During their spare time, the teams refined their competition materials, innovatively integrating product launches with business negotiations, and repeatedly rehearsed presentation details and simulated negotiation scenarios. This rigorous preparation significantly enhanced their strategic thinking and practical skills in international trade negotiations.
The Business School will adhere to its core values of “Responsibility, Integration, Innovation, and Excellence”, advancing its educational philosophy of “learning through competition, teaching through competition” and aligning with AACSB International Accreditation standards. Participants emphasized that the competition profoundly elevated their professional expertise, strengthened team collaboration, fostered innovative problem-solving, and sharpened their global strategic vision and cross-cultural communication capabilities.
The China University Business Elite Challenge(CUBEC) International Trade Competition, established in 2011, has been held consecutively for 14 years and has been consistently ranked as a Category A competition in the National College Discipline Competition Rankings. Over a decade of development, this event has evolved into a flagship program in China’s international trade education landscape, characterized by its deep industry-academia collaboration, broad participation from universities, large-scale on-site operations, hands-on practicality, close alignment with real-world corporate demand, and significant domestic and international influence and recognition.
