Faculty and Students from Business School Attend the 25th COTA International Conference of Transportation Professionals

From July 22 to 25, 2025, the 25th COTA International Conference of Transportation Professionals (CICTP 2025) was held in Guangzhou. Co-hosted by South China University of Technology and the Chinese Overseas Transportation Association (COTA), and supported by the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE), the conference centered on the theme “Transportation · AI · Energy”. It featured keynote speeches by renowned domestic and international experts, specialized sessions, and invited forums, including the National Forum of Deans from Transportation Schools, the COTA Forum for Career Development of Young Scholars and Students, the Transportation Learning Forum for International Students, and the Industry Collaboration Forum.Representing the University of Shanghai for Science and Technology (USST), Zhao Jing, Vice Dean of the Business School and Vice Dean of the USST Smart City Transportation Research Institute, along with faculty members Professor Yu Jie, Associate Research Fellow Zhang Cheng, Lecturers Feng Mingjie and Zhang Yue, and master’s student Wei Jianluo, participated in the conference. 

During the conference, Zhao Jing attended the National Forum of Deans from Transportation Schools, while Yu Jie delivered a presentation titled “Beyond Infrastructure: Building a Systemic Policy Framework for Age-Friendly Public Transit” at the Multilateral Development Bank Transportation Forum. Feng Mingjie and Wei Jianluo showcased a poster titled “Traffic Conflict Risk Assessment Based on Trajectory Dynamics Evolution: A Fourth-Order Pattern Recognition and Time-Varying Mechanism Prediction Model” at the Transportation Safety Forum.



The CICTP 2025 provided a valuable platform for knowledge exchange, research dissemination, and international collaboration. Attendees gained cutting-edge insights and strengthened academic networks, paving the way for interdisciplinary innovation and global partnerships in transportation management.
