On March 27, the information session on Overseas internship and exchange programs with top universities and enterprises was held at Business School. The event received support from USST International Affairs Office and partner institutions. Liu Weiwei, Vice Dean of the Business School presided over the session.
In his opening remarks, Liu Weiwei welcomed representatives from the International Affairs Office, partner institutions, and attending students. Emphasizing the School’s strategic goals for international education, he highlighted the importance of global exposure in enhancing students’ comprehensive competencies. He encouraged students to seize opportunities for overseas study and internships to broaden their horizons and cultivate themselves.
Zhang Keyi, Project Coordinator of the Oxford Prospects Programme, introduced the Oxford University short-term academic exchange initiative. The program offers students opportunities to engage with Oxford professors on cutting-edge research projects and participate in customized interdisciplinary courses. Activities include campus tours, British cultural workshops, and academic visits across Europe, providing immersive cultural and academic experiences.
Zheng Yuling, the regional director of Hong Kong XHES, elaborated on the features of the exchange programs at Hong Kong universities, including internship and exchange programs at well-known enterprises and research programs at prestigious universities. She also shared the unique advantages of Hong Kong as an international education hub.
Liu Yuan, Director of the International Exchange Division, outlined the university’s exchange application procedures, funding policies, and partner institutions. Zhao Qi, project officer from the UK Cultural Exchange Center, shared details about the exchange program with Tallinn University of Technology in Estonia, covering application processes and cultural activities.
During the Q&A session, students actively inquired about language requirements, credit transfer policies, and cross-cultural adaptation. The event not only provided a platform for information sharing but also ignited students’ enthusiasm for global engagement.
