On September 19, Rick Tay, the Director of the Centre for Global Education and Opportunities(GEO) at Singapore Management University(SMU), Summer Lim, a Programme Executive of GEO, Liu Ke, Chairman of the Board of Shiqi Education, and Fu Pan, the General Manager, visited Business School. Liu Weiwei, the Vice Dean of the School, Zhang Qinglong, Director of the Department of Finance and International Economics & Trade, Huang Jing, the Deputy Director of the Department of Accounting and Taxation, and members of the Internationalisation Office participated in the meeting. The meeting was presided over by Liu Weiwei.
Liu Weiwei extended a warm welcome to the delegation from SMU. He introduced the School's history, organizational structure, faculty members, and achievements in international education.
Rick Tay and Summer Lim elaborated on the GEO's distinctive academic features, student-faculty scale, departments and majors, as well as short-term international exchange programs.
The two sides discussed cooperation in short-term study programs and teacher-student exchanges. They expect to achieve complementary advantages and mutual benefits through cooperation.
This visit has laid a foundation for further cooperation between the two universities in international academic exchanges and talent cultivation. It has also injected new vitality into the international development of Business School.
