From October 1 to 7, Party Secretary Ma Jingbo of Business School at the University of Shanghai for Science and Technology (USST) led a delegation to Germany and France, conducting a series of cooperative exchange activities with universities including Otto von Guericke University Magdeburg, Brest Business School, ESCP Business School, and ESSEC Business School. Accompanying the delegation were Li Ying, Director of the General Administrative Office, and Zhang Guang, Vice Director of the Systems Science Department.
At Otto von Guericke University Magdeburg, the delegation held talks with Joachim Weimann, Dean of the Business School; Peter Reichling, the Dean of International Affairs; Christian Stahr, the Chief Operations Officer; Alexandra Seidel, the Head of Project Management; and Chunlan Liang, the International Program Coordinator. Both sides discussed the directions and models of cooperation based on the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), covering topics such as faculty and student exchanges, student exchange programs, the MBA program, and joint training programs.As one of the youngest universities in Germany, Otto von Guericke University Magdeburg ranks among the top in science, engineering, and economics majors in the country.


At Brest Business School(BBS) in France, the delegation had exchanges with Shen Dai, the President of BBS, and Liao Xiaoyan, the Chief Representative in China of Junia Institute of Technology. They reviewed the previous cooperation achievements and explored future cooperation plans. Founded in 1962, Brest Business School boasts an excellent international faculty and enjoys a high reputation both in France and internationally. The school awards bachelor's and master's degrees recognized by the French government and the Ministry of Education of China, and it is a member of the Conference of Grandes Écoles. Since 2023, the University of Shanghai for Science and Technology has cooperated with Brest Business School to launch an undergraduate double-degree program.

At ESCP Business School, the delegation had a meeting with Zhou Wei, a part-time professor of Business School(also the Director of the Department of Big Data and Business Analytics at ESCP Business School). Zhou Wei introduced his work at ESCP Business School. The delegation also visited Zhen Juntao, a doctoral student undergoing joint training at ESCP Business School, and inquired about his study and life in France. Founded in 1819, ESCP Business School is the world's first business school and one of the world's top business schools.



The delegation also visited ESSEC Business School. Founded in 1907, ESSEC was the first AACSB-accredited business school in continental Europe.
