On October 17, Business School of University of Shanghai for Science and Technology received notification from the European Foundation for Management Development(EFMD) that it had successfully passed the EQUIS Accreditation Eligibility Evaluation. This decision followed a comprehensive review of the school's submitted Eligibility Datasheet and the outcomes of the Online Briefing held on May 23, as well as deliberations during the EQUIS Accreditation Committee meeting on October 16. In the official notification, EQUIS experts reaffirmed the school’s comprehensive strengths and internationalization achievements, while providing constructive recommendations for the next phase of accreditation.
Moving forward, the school will adhere to EQUIS guidelines to refine its Self-Assessment Report (SAR) Datasheet and prepare for the full self-assessment report submission and on-site peer review visit. Guided by the principle of “evaluation-driven improvement,” the school aims to further elevate its global competitiveness and foster high-quality development in international education.

January 25, 2025: Dean Zhao Laijun signed the Application Form for Entry; official application submitted.
March 12, 2025: Establishment of the International Accreditation Work Team.
May 23, 2025: Successful Online Briefing meeting; preliminary eligibility approved.
October 17, 2025: Official notification of passing the EQUIS Eligibility Evaluation.
Next, the School will collaborate with official pre-evaluation consultants to prepare for the completion of the Self-Assessment Report and the on-site expert evaluation visit, starting from October 2025.
