Delegation from Shanghai Institute of Technology Paid a Visit

On September 26, a delegation from the School of Economics and Management (SEM) of Shanghai Institute of Technology (SIT) paid a visit. The delegation included Xiong Yan, dean of SEM, Hou Jiansheng, Party secretary of SEM, Zhang Lini, assistant dean of SEM, and faculty members Li Yane, You Jia, and Jiang Yue from the International Accreditation Office. Zhao Laijun, dean of the Business School of the University of Shanghai for Science and Technology(USST), Ma Jingbo, Party secretary of the School, Liu Weiwei, vice dean of the School, Li Ying, director of the General Administration Office, as well as all members of the Internationalization Office participated in the meeting. The meeting was presided by Ma Jingbo.

Zhao Laijun extended a heartfelt welcome and introduced the School's history, organization, faculty, and disciplinary development. He highlighted achievements in recruiting overseas talents and building high-level innovation teams in recent years. 

Ma Jingbo elaborated on the school's initiatives in faculty development, and fostering values among students and staff. He emphasized the school's commitment to nurturing young faculty members by providing platforms and support for their professional growth.

Liu Weiwei outlined the School's internationalization efforts, particularly its accomplishments in AACSB and EQUIS accreditations. He noted that pursuing international accreditations had enhanced the school's global reputation and optimized its teaching and research systems.

Xiong Yan expressed gratitude for the hospitality and shared SIT's history, disciplinary progress, and SEM's advancements in faculty development, talent cultivation, and international collaboration. He also recalled the long-standing partnership between SIT and USST, underscoring its role as a foundation for future cooperation.

The discussions focused on faculty training, evaluation systems, and international accreditation practices. This exchange established a platform for mutual learning, offering insights into talent development, disciplinary innovation, and global engagement.
