On October 23, a delegation from Huawei and its ecosystem partners visited the Business School of Shanghai University of Science and Technology (USST). The meeting was attended by Fang Zhiming, Vice Dean of the Business School; Liu Yong, Deputy Director of the Department of Artificial Intelligence; Qiu Wen from the Logistics Management Office of USST; Liu Chen and Liu Lei, core faculty members from the Department of Artificial Intelligence and the Department of Systems Science, respectively; Song Yan, CEO of the Bund Board; and Liu Jianying, Head of Shanghai Huawei Cloud Education Industry Solutions.
Both parties recognized the complementary advantages between the Business School and Huawei's team and its ecosystem. The Business School's disciplinary strengths and research achievements can provide theoretical guidance and application scenarios for Huawei's technological innovation, aiding breakthroughs in specific fields and business expansion. Conversely, Huawei's advanced technologies and practical experience will strongly support the School's research and teaching, enhancing discipline development and talent cultivation quality.
The meeting identified several key collaboration areas: (1) Research Collaboration: Joint efforts in cutting-edge technology research to address critical industry challenges and deliver tailored solutions; (2) Teaching Collaboration: Co-developing curricula that integrate Huawei's technologies and case studies into classroom content, fostering students' problem-solving skills.
Talent cultivation remains a core goal. The Business School and Huawei will jointly establish a talent development system, covering curriculum design, practical training, and career guidance to improve students' competencies. This initiative aims to cultivate interdisciplinary talents proficient in both management and technology.
Both parties agreed to deepen cooperation and build a long-term strategic partnership. This visit not only strengthened communication but also aligned visions on collaboration directions and talent development, injecting new vitality into industry-education integration.
