The General Office of the Shanghai Municipal People's Government has recently issued the Decision on Commending the Winning Achievements of the 14th Shanghai Decision-making Consulting Research Achievement Award. A total of 80 research projects have been awarded, including 20 first prizes, 40 second prizes, and 20 third prizes. The Business School has achieved excellent results, with a total of 3 projects awarded. Among them, Prof. Zhao Laijun, dean of Business School, won the first prize as the lead author for Research on the Bottlenecks, Ideas and Important Initiatives of Shanghai to Promote the Construction of the 'Belt and Road' Land Logistics Corridor, which is a significant breakthrough for USST in the Shanghai Decision-making Consulting Research Achievement Award.
Associate Prof. Zhu Shuicheng, director of the Department of Public Administration, together with Prof. Zhao Laijun as the second author, have completed the Countermeasures Research on Enhancing the Efficacy of Government Services and Community Governance by 'Government online-offline Shanghai'; Prof. Qian Ying of the Department of Systems Science as the second author, while USST as the second completer, have completed the Research on the Full-cycle Early Warning and Crisis Response of Major Epidemics in Shanghai, and these two research projects won the second prizes.
Shanghai Decision-making Consulting Research Achievement Award is the most prestigious prize in decision consulting research in Shanghai, awarded every two years by the Shanghai Municipal Government. Its purpose is to recognize research that provides decision-making consulting services for the economic, social, and urban development of Shanghai, as well as the implementation of the CPC Central Committee's decisions/arrangements and national strategic tasks in the city. The award is given to research reports and papers that are forward-looking, original, and scientifically sound.
