Teachers and Students from Department of Public Finance and Taxation of Business School Visited the Yangpu District Taxation

On the afternoon of April 13, 2021, professor Tian Fa, professor Wang Yuanwei, and professor Zhao Aifeng from the Department of Public Finance and Taxation of Business School of USST led the undergraduates from the class of 2019 taxation to visit the Yangpu District Taxation Bureau to carry out communication and learning activities. Deputy director Cao Liang and tax cadre Ma Yanhui of General Office of the State Administration of Taxation Shanghai Yangpu District Taxation Bureau were responsible for the reception of this activity.

The staff first led everyone to visit the tax service hall of the Yangpu District Taxation Bureau (Nationwide Cultured Youth Collectives), the 12366 tax service hotline remote seat connection office, and the Yangpu Tax “Tax Cube” expert clinic consultation room to experience tax daily life. Next, all students visited the self-service taxation area on the first floor, and the staff demonstrated the process of self-service taxation and ticket collection for them. All students were amazed by the efficiency of taxation services in the technology age after experiencing the convenience of self-service taxation.

Subsequently, the staff led everyone to visit the tax processing hall on the second floor and the non-contact tax processing experience center, which were the core places of tax processing services. The staff detailedly introduced how to set up different windows for the service needs of different tax types in the process of improving services, which impressed the students with a deeper understanding of tax services. The visit to the “Tax Cube” expert team studio and the “12366” hotline room also gave students a deeper understanding of the application of taxation expertise and the daily routine of tax workers.

After the visit, the tax bureau arranged an interactive forum to organize face-to-face communications between youth representatives and students. During the communications, students spoke freely and interacted actively with teachers of the tax bureau, which is further deepened their understanding of taxation work.

Finally, the staff expressed their hope that students of taxation majors will combine wisdom with taxation and contribute to the development of taxation. Under the joint initiative of the two parts, the student representative signed a letter of the proposal called “Dream of taxation blue, young people bravely take responsibility” from the Yangpu District Taxation Bureau to the young friends of USST.
