In recent years, the booming usage of emerging technologies (e.g. big data, artificial intelligence, financial technology, cloud computing, blockchain, and new media) has lead the the world enter into the era of digital economy, which is profoundly affecting the development of various industries and changing people's social life. With the development of digital economy and the vigorous promotion and application of emerging technologies, the transformation of theoretical research and social practice in the field of intelligent finance and accounting is imminent. In this context, the 2nd National Accounting and Finance Case Study Competition in the Era of Digital Economy, jointly organized by the Technology Innovation Professional Committee of Shanghai Engineering Management Society and the Business School of University of Shanghai for Science and Technology (USST), was held on schedule, and was organized by the Accounting Department of USST with the support of Shanghai Gordon Education Technology Co. Ltd. The competition is dedicated to analyzing how to effectively change and transform corporate accounting and finance in the current digital economy through case studies, with a view to achieving better value creation for enterprises.
On December 04, 2021, the Technology Innovation Professional Committee of Shanghai Engineering Management Society and the Business School of USST host, while the Undergraduate School (Academic Affairs Office) and the Accounting Department of the USST organized the 2nd Accounting and Finance Case Competition (Final) in the Era of Digital Economy has been simultaneously broadcast via Tencent Meeting and BiliBili Platform. The National Accounting and Finance Case Competition in the Era of Digital Economy is open to students of nationwide universities , which is a practical stage for the collision of knowledge and thinking, and an academic feast for the exchange between enterprises, teachers and students. Ever since the case competition begins, a total of 143 entries were received from 43 universities across China, including Xi'an Jiaotong University, Central South University, Jinan University, South China Normal University, Nanjing University of Science and Technology and Xiamen National University of Accounting. After anonymous evaluation by experts, a total of 37 works entered the final stage, and the whole final process was live broadcast. The results of the competition were announced immediately at the end of the competition to ensure the fair and just results of the competition.

The final part of this case competition was presided over by Professor Zhiyong Chen, deputy director of the Accounting Department of USST. First of all, Professor Zhiyong Chen expressed his warm welcome to the experts and judges, teachers, students and enthusiastic volunteers who has participated in the competition. Then he introduced the distinguished guests, including Professor Chong Wang (Shanghai University of Finance and Economics), Professor Yuan Yongping (East China University of Science and Technology); Mr. Cai Chuqing (Golden Finance Eudcation), Professor Laijun Zhao (vice dean of business school of USST), Professor Liangrong Song (Accounting Department of USST), Professor Hongjin Zhao (leader of Accounting Department of USST) and other well-known scholars.

Professor Laijun Zhao, vice dean of the Business School of USST, made the enthusiastic opening speech and keynote speech at the conference, announcing the official start of the competition. First, Professor Laijun Zhao expressed the warm welcome to all the guests and teachers from all the country , and he then introduced the USST historical context and business school in talent training, scientific research, think-tank construction, social services, cultural inheritance innovation development, and focus on the accounting discipline of talent training and discipline development, finally Professor Laijun Zhao wish the competition a complete success.

In the group report, Dr. Wanjun Wang, Dr. Xin Song, Dr. Pengwei He and Dr. Ying Shu from the accounting department hosted the conference respectively. The competition was intense, and the each team was ingenious and closely present their works that are related to the theme. The experts judge each work objectively and fairly from a professional perspective, and the results has exceeded expectations.
