Due to the epidemic, the pre-defense for the class of 2020 and the thesis-opening defense for the class of 2021, which were originally scheduled to be held offline in the middle and end of March, were all changed to be online. While informing all the students and judges at the first time, the teachers from the center worked overtime to sort out the process of conducting online pre-defense and thesis opening, made work plans, booked the Tencent meeting number, and provided online operation guidance and system testing to the judges and students, make preparations, and answer various questions from the students and teachers online to ensure that 126 students of MBA, MPA and MEM programs successfully completed the pre-defense, and 124 students of MEM and MPAcc programs successfully started their theses.

In order to ensure the orderly development of online teaching work, the teaching staff of the center uploaded and transmitted the information to and from the center, disguised as customer service online in real time, communicated with teachers and students in a timely manner, solved various problems of teachers and students in online teaching, allowed teachers and students to achieve efficient interaction across space, and at the same time did a good job of online supervision of teaching to ensure that the teaching of each professional degree program progresses smoothly and orderly according to the plan. Up to now, a total of 37 courses of each program had been conducted online in an orderly manner with zero errors. Dr. ZHANG Yingjie said that although the epidemic prevention and control brought new challenges to teaching, the courses and teaching tasks were carried out in an orderly manner under the proper arrangement of the university and the school. As a professional teacher, I had been exploring the new mode of online teaching. On the one hand, I used Tencent conference as a medium to help listening, and on the other hand, I used WeChat group as a medium to let speaking be heard, so as to achieve a diversified teaching form that breaks the limitation of time and space, and promoted the ubiquitous learning of students. Professor SUN Yingjun said that online teaching has its unique advantages. By grasping the law of Internet + education, through the introduction of the latest financial content, each five-minute sharing of the latest financial information, case studies, group discussions, debates on financial hot issues, brainstorming discussions and other diversified teaching methods, giving full play to the students' cognitive initiative, focusing on students, online teaching can promote students' learning interest  and cultivate students' ability of in-depth analysis. Through in-depth mining of online resources and building on the strengths while avoiding the weaknesses, the course teaching could maintain a high degree of activity.

While maintaining the normal teaching activities, Professor CHE Liping, the director of MPA program, invited Professor ZHOU Xianghong from Tongji University to give a wonderful lecture on the topic of The underlying logic of urban digital transformation and responses to hot issues to the students. The lecture focused on the three terms city, digital transformation and underlying logic, and elaborated the impact of urbanization and globalization on the digital transformation of cities and the digital transformation of five new sub-cities of Shanghai. Prof. ZHOU Xianghong answered the questions raised by the students about the trade-off between digital city management and personal privacy, the classical model of public services in the digital transformation process of new cities, and the future development situation of mutual recognition and interoperability of examination results or patients' past medical information in smart healthcare. Students benefited a lot from the lecture.

The coronavirus epidemic blocked the students from entering the classroom, but not from meeting with the teachers' ideas. The teachers prepared and taught carefully, and the students listened carefully and interacted actively, which ensured the classroom atmosphere and teaching effect effectively. They proved with practical actions that nothing can stop the learning and the desire for knowledge.

In this special period when spring is supposed to blossom, all the teachers in the central office do their best to prevent and control the epidemic and guarantee the online teaching work, and do their best to protect the students' knowledge and healthy growth, and perform their duties and responsibilities.
