The COVID-19 epidemic has ushered in to Shanghai, a city of glory, a grand and hard battle which we cannot afford to lose. We win the battle as fast as possible! Faced with the severe and complex situation of epidemic and its prevention and control, the municipal party committee requires communist party members in the city to take urgent action in this war against the epidemic, keep working until the victory.
Epidemic is an order, and prevention and control is a responsibility. Directed by the party committee, the party branch of the Department of Public Administration resolutely implemented the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping’s speech and instructions, and actively mobilized party members and teachers to come forward and take part in the epidemic prevention and control. Under the leadership of Dean Zhao Laijun, all Public Administration People responded quickly and rushed to the frontier of the anti-epidemic with an unrelenting attitude, while coordinating measures to prevent and control epidemic and daily work. After learning about the shortage of volunteers and service force in the school, Dean Zhao rushed to the campus from the USST community to take on the job of volunteers. When they learned that there were postgraduate students who needed to be quarantined, department head Dr. Zhu Shuicheng and all postgraduate supervisors immediately patiently appeased the quarantined students.

Dr. Zhu Shuicheng and Che Liping overcame difficulties and organized teachers of the department to participate in and successfully complete the re-examination of postgraduates. Dr. Qi Xiang guided the teachers to do a good job in undergraduate teaching under the epidemic situation and actively explore the ideological and political elements of the curriculum in the fight against the epidemic. Dr. Zhao Xin gave a multi-angle and all-round introduction about the public administration on the major diversion of 2021 undergraduate economy management trial class. Professor Che Liping invited experts to give special lectures for students. Dr. Zhu Shuicheng and Luo guofen gave full play to their expertise and made suggestions for epidemic prevention and control.
